OUR APOSTOLATES

The Franciscan Sisters carry out their apostolate through education, healthcare, pastoral ministry, catechesis, and compassionate service to the poor and vulnerable. Guided by the spirituality of St. Francis of Assisi and the example of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, they proclaim the Gospel through prayer and humble service. Their mission is to promote human dignity, justice, peace, and care for creation while bringing Christ's love to all.

Education

Education and formation

The Sisters are committed to education and formation as a means of nurturing the whole person in faith, knowledge, and moral values. Through schools, catechesis, and ongoing formation, they empower children, youth, and adults to grow spiritually, intellectually, and socially. Inspired by the Gospel and the Franciscan spirit, they prepare individuals to become responsible, compassionate, and service-oriented members of society.

Healthcare

Healthcare and clinics

The Sisters provide compassionate healthcare through hospitals, clinics, and community health services, promoting the healing ministry of Christ. They care for the sick, the elderly, and the vulnerable with professionalism, respect, and love, while upholding the dignity of every person. Their mission is to foster holistic well-being by addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those they serve.

Community Meetings

Small Christian Community Meetings

The Sisters foster Small Christian Community meetings as a way of strengthening faith, prayer, and Christian fellowship. Through sharing the Word of God, reflection, and mutual support, they encourage members to live the Gospel in their daily lives. These gatherings promote unity, spiritual growth, and active participation in the life and mission of the Church.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral and Spiritual care

The Sisters are committed to teaching catechism to children, helping them grow in faith and knowledge of the Catholic Church. Through Scripture, prayer, and Christian values, they prepare young people to receive the sacraments and live as faithful disciples of Christ. Their ministry nurtures a strong spiritual foundation, encouraging children to love God, serve others, and actively participate in the life of the Church.

Following the example of St. Francis of Assisi, the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception recognize creation as God's precious gift and lovingly care for our common home, Mother Sister Earth. Through tree planting, environmental conservation, sustainable living, and educating communities on the responsible use of natural resources, they promote respect for all of creation. Inspired by the Franciscan spirit of simplicity, gratitude, and peace, they strive to protect the environment for present and future generations while giving glory to the Creator.
